Privacy notice: contacts in leads

1. Who we are and why you are receiving this

Liidis is a service that helps companies find other companies that their product could suit. If your business contact details (name, role, work phone or work email) have been published on your company's website or in another public source, they may appear in a Liidis lead.

The details of the controller will be published on this page once the company that provides the service has been founded. Until then the service is limited to invited users as a free trial. For data protection matters, contact support@liidis.com. You can also make a request with the privacy request form.

When the controller changes or is named, we will announce it on this page.

2. What data we process

Name, role or title, work phone and work email (only if published), the source, meaning the address where the information was found, basic company details (name, business ID, industry, address and the company's general phone), and notes that a Liidis customer makes about the lead. We do not create email addresses from names.

3. Where the data comes from

• The company registers YTJ and PRH (open data, CC BY 4.0): basic company details.
• The company's own website: contact and people pages. The site's robots.txt is respected, and our crawler identifies itself as LiidisBot/1.0.
• Public procurement notices and companies' public press releases.
• A manual check of public sources by Liidis staff before a lead is delivered.

The source is shown on every lead. We do not use LinkedIn or pages behind a login.

4. Purpose

Business-to-business sales: a Liidis customer, which is a company, learns that your company could be a potential customer and can call your work number. Liidis itself does not contact you.

5. Legal basis

The basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): business-to-business sales and marketing using work contact details published in a work role.

6. Recipients

The Liidis customer companies to which a lead is delivered, and the service's technical processors (server: a Hetzner data centre). We do not sell the data or disclose it to anyone else.

7. Retention

We keep the data only as long as it is needed for the purpose, and we delete it at your request. A delivered lead stays in the customer's workspace. After an objection, your details are hidden and flagged.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict processing and transfer the data. In particular, you have the right to object to the use of your data at any time without giving a reason.

You can make an objection, access request or erasure request using the form. You can also email support@liidis.com.

An identifier you object to (email, phone or company) is blocked for all customers and for future deliveries. We reply within one month. You have the right to complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.

9. What we do not do

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not email you, call you or message you on WhatsApp.
